Located in the Bronx, Van Cortlandt pool has both a large outdoor pool and a wading pool for the little ones. Swimming lessons are offered for ages 1 & 1/2 to 14, on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Located in Central Park between 106th and 108th Street, the pool is named after the Lasker sisters who contributed a great deal of money for the pool to be built. Open from July 1st through Labor Day 7 days a week (11am to 3pm & 4pm to 7pm)
The pool at Astoria Park was once said to be "the finest in the world!" Ok so that was in 1936 when the pool was first built, but it's still a great place to cool off. Opened for the 1936 Olympic Swimming Trials, the facilities include a main pool, a diving pool, and a wading pool with the best views of the Triborough Bridge anywhere in the city!
Since it opened in 1940 John Jay pool has been helping Manhattan residents keep cool in its 145-foot pool! Best part is ... its FREE!!!
The penthouse pool offers beautiful views of Central Park! Guest of the hotel can enjoy the pool for free while others may buy a $50 day pass!

Folks in Brooklyn can enjoy an outdoor pool as well! This Olympic sized pools has some interesting pyramids in the center, we're not sure why!
