    John Hughes, an alumni of Glenbrook, shot the exterior scenes of the football field for The Breakfast Club here. To prepare for their roles, the actors attended Glenbrook for a short time to experience high school life. Pass by and take a picture and be glad you're not there for detention.

    9511 Harrison St , Des Plaines, IL

    Maine North High School closed in 1981 as sat empty until it was used to film interior and exterior scenes for The Breakfast Club in 1985. The library scenes in the movie were shot here on a set built in the gymnasium. During filming cast and crew were to eat in the cafeteria.
