The Dixie Square mall in Harvey, Illinois had just closed its doors in 1979 when it was used by John Landis as a shooting location for the famous scene where a car chase occurs inside the mall between the Blues Brothers and police.
To demonstrate the power of the bluesmobile's engine, Elwood jumps an open drawbridge. The location of the jump is on the 95th street bridge.
Jake Elwood finds religion while attending a service lead by the amazing James Brown. It is here that Jake comes up with the idea to put their band back together and give a performance to bring in the $5,000 in taxes the orphanage needs to stay open.

The Brothers try to get "Blue Lou" Marini and Matt "Guitar" Murphy back into the band. Their mission is only slightly deterred as Aretha Franklin belts out "Think" to husband Lou. The Deli is no longer standing.
With the $5,000 in hand, the Blues Brothers rush to the Cook County Accessor's office to pay off the orphanage's tax bill. They are chased to the scene by police and a SWAT team is brought in to capture them. Just after they pay the bill the brothers are caught and hauled off to jail.
The address on Elwood Blues' driver's license is listed as "1060 West Addison" a.k.a. Wrigley Field.
